Josa Young worked on Vogue as editor in our Features Department

She was responsible for writing and coordinating stories working across the magazine with a large number of staff as well as commissioning freelance contributors.

She put together a substantial supplement for the magazine
which dealt with fashion, the arts, culture and lifestyle and was efficient, reliable and enthusiastic.

NHS CHOICES

I recruited Josa Young to help me launch the NHS Choices website last March (2007). Josa edited the Live Well section, the ‘lifestyle magazine’ section that featured advice, interviews and tips to engage and inform the user. Josa was responsible for the content as well as the concept, including the look and feel of the section, which has since been evaluated as one of the most popular areas of the site. Users of all ages and both sexes loved the images, the articles and the way it had been organised. This is testament to Josa’s talent, vision and delivery.

It was a pleasure working with Josa, who remained professional and upbeat throughout, despite the difficult circumstances she was working in - we had only 16 weeks to recruit a team, design, build and launch the site.
